Taylor Swift became an incredibly popular singer and songwriter in early 2001 when she began sharing her stories of pain and heartbreak. Swift was interested in music since a young age. She quickly moved up the ranks, starting as a child actor and then performing before a large crowd. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. next year, she began playing guitar and began writing songs. Swift was inspired by artists from the country genre, such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks as well as the Chicks to come up with original songs that reflected the loneliness she experienced by the age of 13.
