Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his signature style. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Her real name is Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta, her roots are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue the musical profession by as a singer and pianist at the church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You the House, was released only in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and has become a staple of her live show. Her voice was also added to the music of The Fighting Temptations. She was appointed as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls, the theatre production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became the focus of attention during four daily shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
