Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1st, 1995 in Berkeley California) is an actor. She is an American actress who has appeared on screen in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an actor's family and film makers, two careers which she has herself been pursuing. When she made her debut, she was just nine years old aged in Sergio Citti's film Sogni e Bisogni in 1988. she played the lead role in the debut film of Cristina Comencini, Zoo, and was in the ensemble of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, the film that she played Nanni Moretti's little daughter was released a year later. However, it came from Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career begin to take off. The movie was well-received at the Cannes International Film Festival. In Trauma she acted in her first film with her father, famed Italian film director Dario Argento Her mother is one of his favorite actors, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl on the lookout of her parents' murderer. Asia worked alongside Dario Argento on three films, Trauma, The Stendhal Syndrome, and the Phantom of the Opera. In Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze, Asia's absorption technique of powerful acting was used well. In 1993, Asia starred in the role of Arianna a disabled child in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista. It was a complex and challenging role, in which she received her the David di Donatello. The 1995 film she co-directed with Michel Piccoli for Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio won her an award from David diDonatello and a Grolla d'oro. In 1994, Asia decided to try directing and turned out two short films in the episode of the film De Generazione In 1996 she made a documentary of her father, and in 1998, another film on the legendary director Abel Ferrara, AbelAsia which was awarded an award at The Rome Film Festival. Asia produced her debut film in Scarlet Diva (1999), where she was both the main actress in the film and also the creator of its screenplay. The film was released in on May 1, 2000 in Italy and around the globe. It won the Brooklyn's special prize at the Williamsburg film festival.
